Introducing Connected Reception: Transforming the Care Home Experience

At CoolCare, we’re thrilled to announce the launch of our latest innovation — Connected Reception.

Designed to modernise and simplify the front-of-house experience for care homes, this new suite of systems aims to create a more efficient, welcoming and digital reception environment for staff, visitors and residents alike.

With visitor satisfaction and compliance at its core, the Connected Reception brings together advanced tools such as biometric face recognition, a virtual noticeboard and a digital visitor book.

Each of these features integrates seamlessly with CoolCare’s existing resident and staff management systems, as well as with Person Centred Software (PCS), giving care homes a fully connected solution.

Key Features of the Connected Reception

Biometric Face Clock-In

Wave goodbye to cumbersome timesheets and easily misplaced fobs! Our new biometric face clock-in allows care home staff to clock in and out using facial recognition technology.

This not only streamlines the process but also ensures accurate payroll and timesheets. By directly linking with CoolCare’s staff management tools, care homes can maintain precise attendance records and optimise staffing levels more effectively.

Virtual Noticeboard

The virtual noticeboard transforms communication within the care home; displayed on any HDMI-enabled screen, it showcases rotating information such as daily menus, staff on duty, upcoming events, and even birthdays.

This makes the reception area more welcoming and informative for visitors, creating an inviting first impression.

Digital Reception (Digital Visitors Book)

Taking visitor management to the next level, CoolCare’s digital visitors book offers a streamlined way for guests to register electronically.

Information is logged instantly, making it easy for care homes to access visitor logs, feedback and reviews. This feature is not only convenient but also aligns with the latest Care Quality Commission (CQC) framework, enhancing inspection outcomes by demonstrating accountability and transparency.

The integration doesn’t stop there. Our visitor management system can be linked to PCS care records, automatically updating residents’ care logs in real-time after each visit.

Additionally, care homes with Autumna Premium accounts can display live ratings directly from their reception area to their online profiles, further boosting their digital presence and online reputation.
